A rustic, wild and unique location close to Wellington, Pencarrow Lodge is a privately owned sheep station surrounded by thousands of acres of regional parks. The lodge has been designed to have plenty of atmosphere all day, any day. Pencarrow Lodge is themed as a hunting lodge from game found in the area, including timber floors, large open fireplaces, deep comfortable sofas and a large viewing deck.
The cellar room was purpose built to compliment the boutique vineyard which is located on the north side of the lodge.

We also have a sheltered courtyard that is large enough for a marquee.
Pencarrow Lodge is a private secluded venue and works under strict resource consent that only allows so many commercial vehicles to the lodge each day. This is because the area is locked up to vehicles, as it is a very unique area. It is the most scenic drive in Wellington to the venue, right on the rugged Coastline. The gravel road was the first road to the Wairarapa taking you past the sites of many early ship wrecks, the historic Pencarrow lighthouse and Wellingtons only 2 fresh water lakes which were uplifted by earthquakes, very few people in Wellington get to see this area.
